Sean Bray is a young Toronto-based guitarist who
studied at the Manhattan School of Music and also whilst in New
York took private lessons from John Abercrombie, Jack Wilkins
and Wayne Krantz. These modern influences along with John Scofield,
Mike Stern and Jim Hall are most evident in his playing and writing.
He has worked with Pat LaBarbera, Kirk MacDonald,
Liberty Silver, Mike Murley and Bob Mover as well as fronting
his own groups.
In 1996 he took his group on a cross country tour
of Canada and appeared in duo and quartet settings at the du Maurier
Downtown Jazz Festival.
